This trip to Peru in South America is a 11 days exploring a few stunning and unique places passing through Puno, Cusco, Puerto Maldonado, Lima, Paracas.  The highlights of our grand tour are a visit to Taquile & Uros Islands near Puno; Machu Picchu (one of the grand ruins), Visit the Amazon jungle (Trek in the Tambopata National Reserve & Inkaterra Canopy walk), Flight over the Nazca Lines (a UNESCO World Heritage site, ancient geoglyphs in the Nazca desert).

  1. Day 1 Arrival in Lima

    Arrival in Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima (LIM), transfer from the Airport to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Lima.

  2. Day 2 Fly Lima - Puno

    At proper time, transfer from the hotel to the airport. Departure flight (not included). Arrival in Inca Manco Capac International Airport, Juliaca near Puno (JUL) and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Puno.

  3. Day 3 Puno - Taquile & Uros Island

    The tour will begin with the arrival at Huayllano, a port of Taquile Island, where the community greets tourists very kindly and keep their old style traditions and customs. You will be invited to visit the house of a local family to engage in some of their activities with them, like weaving and afterwards, you will enjoy a delicious lunch made from fresh local products.


    Next, you will have the chance to walk to the town square and then board the boat and sail to Uros Islands. These islands are built out of layers of totora and are used as housing and trade centers for the native Uros. They travel on handcrafted rafts and colorful clothing. The islanders are skilled craftspeople and express in each piece astonishing techniques developed by their ancestors for centuries. Overnight stay at hotel in Puno.

  4. Day 4 Fly from Puno – Cusco; Half Day City Tour

    At a proper time; transfer from your hotel to the airport. Flight from Puno to Cusco (not included). Arrival at Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

    Half Day City Tour

    Visit the impressive colonial city built over the foundations of Incan palaces, going across the San Blas neighborhood —cradle of artists— and the Twelve Angles stone on Hatun Rumiyoq street; the Korikancha or Temple of the Sun, where we could appreciate the so fine craft work the Incas made on stone; and the Cathedral, with its delicate craft works on carved wood and impressive altars.

  5. Day 5 Cusco - Full Day Tour to Pisac Market / Ollantaytambo / Maras & Moray

    A full day excursion to enjoy some highlights in Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It starts by a visit to the colorful market of Pisac, where you can appreciate a blend of color, traditional articrafts, and local people. Then, the tour goes on to Ollantaytambo, where you will enjoy the panoramic view of the most ancient and continuously occupied village in the American continent, and visit the amazing Ollantaytambo Fortress, built by Inca Pachacutec in the 16th century. Then, the excursion continues to the Maras salt mines, which were constructed in the slope of a mountain in Pre-Incan times. Lastly, we will go to the huge agricultural terraces of Moray, built in natural holes in circular form, and used as a botanical lab by the Incas. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel in Cusco.

  6. Day 6 Cusco - Full Day Excursion to Machu Picchu with Vistadome Train

    At a proper time; transfer from your hotel to the train station.

    Awaiting you today is by far and away one of the high points in world tourism: Machu Picchu. Your adventure starts on a train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes, where you will disembark and then board a bus that drives you to the actual Machu Picchu archaeological site, where you will definitely have an experience you will never forget. You will discover this new Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site; afterwards, there is some free time for you to explore the site on your own, to relax or to meditate. At the agreed upon hour, you will descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local restaurant and, later on, board the train for your return trip; you will stop at the train station indicated in your ticket, where you will be picked up and taken back to your lodgings. Overnight stay at hotel in Cusco.

  7. Day 7 Fly from Cusco – Puerto Maldonado; Twilight River Excursion

    At the proper time transfer from your hotel to the airport. Flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado (not included).

    Arrival to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the lodge.

    Start your journey arriving to Puerto Maldonado, where our staff will welcome you and provide the necessary information for your stay. Navigate by outboard motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River to Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción for approximately 25 minutes. Enjoy Lunch with organic ingredients and native flavors. After lunch, take a walk through Concepcion Trails, inside property nature trails, where you will discover and learn about primary and secondary rainforest, its components, uses, transformations by the human being, and its relevance for the world. At dusk navigate by outboard motorized canoe, at the Twilight River excursion. By sailing on the Madre de Dios River, you will learn about its ecosystem, Amazonian creeks, nocturnal animals’ behavior, and the southern constellations. In the evening enjoy a nice Dinner in the Casa Grande´s dining room. Dinner and overnight stay at the select lodge in Puerto Maldonado.

  8. Day 8 Puerto Maldonado - Morning:- Trek in the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval; Post Lunch:- Inkaterra Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk; Night:- Hidden Rainforest Excursion

    New experiences are ahead and after taking a nutritious Buffet Breakfast, get ready for a long trek through terra firma into the Tambopata National Reserve towards Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is called the biodiversity capital of Peru, while learning about the Reserve’s conservation efforts and the lake’s formation. Navigate by dugout canoe across this mirror-like oxbow lake that is home to the endangered Giant River Otter (Pteronurabrasiliensis), Blue and Yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna), Red Howler Monkey (Alouattaseniculus), Black Caiman (Melanosuchusniger), and one of the world’s biggest fresh water scaled fish, the Paiche (Arapaima gigas).

    Back to the lodge for Lunch, and later the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway & Anaconda Walk wait for you. Take a 20-minute ride by outboard motorized canoe to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway Interpretation Center where you will learn about its construction and the conservation projects of ITA-Inkaterra Asociación (NGO). Ascend one of the two 98-foot towers (30 m.) and cross the 7 hanging bridges that connect the treetops at 91 ft. high (28 m). Enjoy the breathtaking vistas and get the chance to watch White-throated Toucans (Ramphastostucanus), Woodpeckers, Trogons, Squirrel Monkeys (Saimiriboliviensis) and the Three-toed Sloth (Choleopushoffmani). After descending keep on feeling the incredible primary rainforest energy going along the 200-meter wooden bridge over the swamps (aguajales). You will learn about the fauna and flora of this flooded ecosystem.

    At night get ready for an adventure during the Hidden Rainforest excursion, where you will explore the Amazon rainforest that gives way to nocturnal animals who display intriguing behavior patterns, and enhanced senses as adaptation mechanisms. Listen to nocturnal living nature sounds, and penetrate this hidden world. End up your day with a pleasant Dinner. Dinner and overnight stay at the select lodge in Puerto Maldonado.

  9. Day 09 Fly from Puerto Maldonado – Lima; Panoramic City Tour - Lima at Night

    After Buffet Breakfast, take a ride back to Puerto Maldonado by outboard motorized canoe. Arrive at the Butterfly House where you may wait for your flight to your next destination, while visiting this beautiful Butterfly House and learning about the fascinating transformation of these colorful insects, bred in our laboratory. At the proper time transfer from your hotel to the airport. Flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima (not included). Arrival to Lima and transfer to your hotel.

    Panoramic City Tour-Lima at Night

    This is a short, nighttime city tour of the “City of the Kings” historic center, where the most important historical monuments and buildings are found.

    Overnight stay at hotel in Lima.

  10. Day10 Lima – Day at Leisure

  11. Day11 Lima – Paracas; Overflight the Nazca Lines; Transfer from Paracas – Lima; Final Departure

    Transfer from Lima To Paracas (Pisco)

    You will be picked up at your hotel in Lima, drive south along the Pacific Coast to Pisco. Along this way, you will pass through the different types of desert and oasis, landscapes while your guide will introduce you to the new Peru coastal population as well as to the various vestiges of ancient civilizations.

     Overflight the Nazca Lines

    You will be transferred to the local airport for your flight over the incredible Nazca Lines, drawn on the pampas of the same name. You will see several figures of stylized plants and animals drawn in an enormous labyrinth of straight lines, trapezoids, triangles, and spirals scattered about the desert floor that has remained preserved for about 2000 years.

    Note: Remember to bring your original passport as only document required in the Nazca airport. The flight is subject to weather conditions in the area. Groups of passengers may be divided into different flights considering the maximum weight allowed on the plane as provided by law.

    Later on return to Lima and transfer to the airport to take your flight home. Final departure.
