  1. Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati; Drive to Nameri (215 km; 6 hrs)

    Arrival in Guwahati. Transfer to the hotel in Nameri. Overnight stay at hotel in Nameri.

  2. Day 2 Nameri - Rafting & Forest Walk

    Nameri National Park: is situated on the banks of the River Bhorelli at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. Nearly 400 species of birds can be seen here. Highlights of this area are Wreathed Hornbill, White Winged Wood Duck, Long-Billed Plover and Ibisbill. Nameri is the access point to Western Arunachal Pradesh. We can also indulge into activities like Rafting on Brahmaputra River and nature walks. Overnight stay at hotel in Nameri.

  3. Day 3 Nameri – Dirang (160 km, 6 hrs)

    After breakfast drive to Dirang. The drive takes you through a magnificent landscape alongside the Kameng River. Enroute we visit the orchid centre at Tippi. After lunch at Bomdila we visit the Buddhist monastery. At Dirang visit the Dirang Monpa tribal village in the afternoon. Overnight stay at hotel in Dirang.

    Dirang lies between Bomdila and Tawang, with apple orchards and sheep breeding farms. A few kilometers from Dirang there is a hot spring where people go for a holy dip (people believe that taking bath in this hot spring cures skin diseases) and also visit the Kalachakra Gompa. Dirang, a small township with inhabitants of about 8000 people in the district of West Kameng, is considered as the best trade centre connecting the yak tracts.

    It’s an extremely picturesque valley lying at an altitude of 8500 feet has a pleasant climate where one can feel the essence of Buddhism in its air. The surroundings are covered with different vegetation including alpine forests. Dirang is the sub-division of West Kameng district.

  4. Day 4 Dirang

    Spend the day in Dirang. Overnight stay at hotel in Dirang.

  5. Day 5 Dirang – Tawang (130 km; 6 hrs)

    Drive to Tawang with packed lunch. Overnight stay at hotel / guesthouse in Tawang.

    The route to Tawang is a scenic drive through serpentine roads. Beautiful landscapes throughout the drive keeps one engaged. There is a strong Tibetan presence in Tawang. Prayer flags flutter in the breeze. Cross the Sela Pass at 13,700 ft. Enroute visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who single-handedly tried to hold off the approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo – Chinese War. The sinuous road to Tawang passes through the dragon gates at the awesome heights of the Sella Pass.

  6. Day 6 Tawang Sightseeing

    At Tawang, visit the famous Buddhist Monastery which was in the route chosen by the Dalai Lama to enter India from Tibet. A stunning 8-meter-high gilded statue of Buddha dominates the sanctum. Attached to the monastery, is a museum and a library with priceless collections. The monastery is one of the largest in Asia, and it houses about a thousand monks. Visit the craft centre that sells beautiful masks, hand-woven carpets, tangkhas, and jewellery in silver, turquoise, coral and amber. The museum successfully presents the rich cultural diversity of Tawang. The stupa-like Tawang War Memorial, built recently, also salutes the heroes of the war. Overnight stay at hotel / guesthouse in Tawang.

  7. Day 7 Tawang - Bomdila (185 km; 7 hrs)

    Drive to Bomdila with packed lunch. Later in the afternoon visit the Buddhist monastery and the local market. Overnight stay at hotel in Bomdila.“

    Bomdila is the headquarters of West Kameng district located at the height of 8500 ft above the sea level from where one can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad mountains of the Himalayan Range. The Buddhist monastery of Bomdila is the repository of culture and is among primary attractions of the area.

  8. Day 8 Bomdila – Guwahati (323 km; 8-9 hrs)

    After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Overnight stay at a hotel in Guwahati.

  9. Day 9 Guwahati - Final Departure

    Post breakfast take a drop to Guwahati Airport. Final Departure.
