Away from hustle & bustle of city life, this tour is the most ideal way of experiencing outdoors, wilderness along with family in the most comfortable manner. Our tour starts from Amritsar – The golden city of joy and we later move to Chamba, the northernmost district of Himachal Pradesh The town gets its name from the princes Champavati daughter of Raja Sahil Varman. There are many temples in this town, the Laxminarayan temple has some excellent architecture and paintings, and lies at the intersection of Dhauladhar and Zanskar ranges, further we head to Lastly we move to Fulari Dhar – A modest weekend destination filled with all the necessary amenities in a remote mountain stay. Located in the field on the mountain top, it offers spectacular views both East and West.

    All about the UNSEEN HIMACHAL.
    • Stay at Chamba will be in a homestay. It is a typical himalayan old wooden house. It is on a hill-slope next to a river.Situated high on a ridge line about 1000 meter , this lodge offers stunning views all around from Pir Panjals to east and Chamba Jot to west.
    • Stay at Fulari Dhar- Perched at an elevation of more than 7000 ft, the property offers you a bird’s eye view of its beautiful geographical surroundings. Right in front/East is Barot Valley that lies sandwiched between our Dhar and mighty Dauladhar Range. To our West/rear is Kangra Valley. Lush green forests surround us on four sides and snow-clad peaks greet us in an enigmatic way. The famous Hanumanji Ka Tibba (19000 ft approx) will be in your frame 24×7!

    1. Day 01 (09-Dec) Arrive at Amritsar

      We start our tour from the Golden City and the City of Joy – Amritsar. Post check in, we can explore Amritsar by visiting Jalianwala Baug, Attari Border. Evenings can be kept reserved for shopping Phulkari Odhnis, Jhuttis or we can explore the mouthwatering street food of Amritsar. We end our day by taking blessings at Golden Temple in the night. Dinner and Overnight stay at Amritsar (Meals included – Lunch and Dinner)

    2. Day 02 (10-Dec) Amritsar - Drive to Chamba (1300m - 235 kms; 7.5 hrs)

      We start early for our drive towards Chamba – The land of Kailash Mountain and Lord Shiva, is famous for its untouched natural beauty. After reaching Chamba by evening, Check in at our beautiful and cozy homestay. This homestay is a typical himalayan vintage wooden house. It is set on a hill-slope next to a river. Relax at the property. Overnight stay at Chamba (Meals included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

    3. Day 03 (11-Dec) Chamba Sightseeing

      On this day we drive to Chamba town. Surrounded by verdant mountains and alpine pastures, this quaint town is a secluded and unspoilt tourist stopover. Enroute we stop at Laxmi Narayan Temple – Constructed by Raja Sahil Varman, believed to be the founder of modern Chamba in 920 AD, the Laxmi Narayan Temple is the main shrine in the town that has a group of six temples. Legend has it that the idol of Lord Vishnu at this temple has been made of a rare marble that was brought here from the Vindhyachal Mountains. By evening we reach back to our homestay. Overnight stay at Chamba (Meals included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

    4. Day 04 (12-Dec) Chamba – Agahar (02 Hrs)

      After breakfast start the drive to our next homestay – This cottage, built in traditional form, is at the peak of a mountain on a pasture surrounded by spruce, cedar and rhododendron trees in the village of Rulpuli (about 7545 feet) which takes 1.5 hours drive through mountain roads. At the drop off point known as Agahar; a gentle 1 hr walk through dense forest of Devdar trees, terraced fields and tribal Goddi & Gujjar shepherd villages leads to this paradise giving us spectacular 360-degree view of the Dhauladar ranges and snow capped mountains of the Pir-Panjal ranges of Western Himalayas. Later in the day we can explore homestay-based activities like visit short country walk; nearby village walks or take nature trails (These activities depends on weather, time and availability). Overnight stay at Agahar (Meals included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

    5. Day 05 (13-Dec) Agahar - Dharamshala (145 kms; 6 hrs)

      Today we leave early and start our drive towards Dharamshala. This town lies in the foothills of the impressive snow-capped Dhauladhar mountain range.We stay next to the Norbulingka Institute – The keeper of culture and tradition of the region. It is a unique, self-sustaining institute that has been maintaining traditions for generations. One can get a firsthand experience of Tibetan art here that is produced using methods that have been practised and passed down for many centuries. Exploring the beautiful campus can be an occupying activity. Our place of stay, is surrounded by the lush gardens and flowing streams of the Norbulingka grounds. Each room is themed according to a different animal from Tibetan mythology and is a showcase of the work of Norbulingka artists, as all the furniture and original paintings were lovingly hand crafted and painted in Norbulingka workshops. This guesthouse is the perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday, in a setting so peaceful you will feel you have stepped into paradise as it offers guests all the modern comforts in a setting of traditional Tibetan charm. Overnight stay at Norling House(Meals included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

    6. Day 06 (14-Dec) Dharamshala - Fulari Dhar , Enroute visit Baijnath Temple – Drive to (100 kms; 4.5 hrs)

      Today we leave early and start our drive towards Fulari Dhar. While on our way to Fulari Dhar we visit Baijnath Temple.It is a highly popular dedicated to Lord Shiva as Vaidyanath, ‘the Lord of physicians’ By evening, we reach at Colonel’s Barot Highland Retreat – A modest weekend destination filled with all the necessary amenities in a remote mountain stay. Located in the field on the mountain top, it offers spectacular views both east and west. Overnight stay at Barot Highland.

    7. Day 07 (15-Dec) Fulari Dhar- Excursion to Prashar Lake* (80 kms; 3 hrs oneway) OR Barot Valley (25kms; 1hr oneway)

      After breakfast , we leave to see the Prashar Lake* – The whole setting of sloppy meadows, dense forest and the panoramic view of snow clad ranges of Dhauladhar at The “Prashar Lake” makes it picture perfect. Its crystal clear water adds to the charm of this scenic spot. OR We go to Barot – Considered to be a diamond among the rough terrains, Barot Valley was initially developed for a hydel project over the Uhl river that has now become a rising tourist spot for travellers who have a longing for mountains. We come back to Fulari Dhar by evening and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Barot Highland (Meals included – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) *Visit to Prashar Lake heavily depends on weather and road conditions.

    8. Day 08 (16-Dec) Fulari Dhar- Amritsar (290 kms; 08 hrs)

      We leave with Fulari Dhar with memories and start early on this day to reach Amritsar by evening to
      catch flight for our hometown
