  1. Day 1 WELCOME TO JOHANNESBURG (APPROX.30 KM; 45 MIN).

    Arrive (Johannesburg) International Airport, clear customs and immigrations, and you will be well received by our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Check – in and spend the rest of the afternoon to relax. If Time permits, enjoy some shopping in Johannesburg. Sandton City is one of the most upmarket shopping centres in the southern hemisphere. The centre features two of the country’s most luxurious hotels and over 200 shops. In fact, it is a covered village where you can park, bank, do business, dine, relax, shop, pamper yourself and go to the movies – all under one roof. Sandton City is located directly across the road from the hotel. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

  2. Day 2 FLIGHT TO PORT ELIZABETH- AMAKHALA (APPROX. 90KM; 1HR 15MIN).

    After Breakfast, transfer to JNB airport for your domestic flight to Port Elizabeth Airport (PLZ). Upon arrival at PLZ Airport, you will be met by your driver for your private transfer to the lodge. Lunch is served at the lodge upon arrival (arrival time permitting). Afternoon game drive which may continue into the early evening in order to view the nocturnal animals as well. Dinner is served at the lodge.

  3. Day 3 GAME DRIVE IN A SAFARI VEHICLE

    Early morning wake up call. After tea, coffee and snacks your ranger will escort you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. Spend the day at leisure. Lunch is served at the lodge. Afternoon game drive that continues into the evening. Dinner is served at the lodge.

  4. Day 4 TRAVEL ON THE SCENIC GARDEN ROUTE TO KNYSNA (APPROX. 350KM; 4 HR).

    Early morning wake up call. After tea, coffee and snacks your ranger will escort you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. Breakfast is served at the lodge. After breakfast check out. You will be met by your driver and tour guide at the lodge and transferred down the Garden Route to Knysna. This will be about a 4-hour road transfer, but a very scenic beautiful drive. Lunch at a local restaurant enroute. Explore the quaint town of Knysna known for its art & craft shops. “The place of the people, beauty and mystery.” This ever-popular charming town of legend, history, arts, and crafts catering to visitor’s every need or fancy. The town is built on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon, a National Lake Area that falls under the protection of South African National Parks, is a home to more than 200 species of fish – including the rare Knysna seahorse –

    and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Dinner at a local restaurant.

  5. Day 5 FEATHERBED ECO EXPERIENCE ON THE KNYSNA LAGOON.

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a Featherbed Eco Experience on the Knysna lagoon. This experience starts with a Ferry trip on the Knysna lagoon to the Western Head (25 min duration). Upon disembarking the vessel, you will be transported by 4 x 4 vehicle / trailer up the headland onto the reserve. There is an optional

    2.2km guided walk down through the reserve. Lunch is served in an outdoor restaurant after which you will return to the mainland by Ferry.

  6. Day 6 VISIT TO THE TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK, MONKEYLAND & BIRDS OF EDEN. ( DRIVING DISTANCE – APPROX. 204KM).

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park. The Tsitsikamma National Park is situated at the heart of the picturesque Garden Route. Tsitsikamma is a Khoisan word meaning, “place of much water”. In 1964 when it was proclaimed, it became the first Marine National Park in Africa and today the Park incorporates 80 km (50 miles) of rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes. The Tsitsikamma’s spectacular scenery includes the Indian Ocean breakers, pounding rocky shores beneath 180 m high cliffs, ever-green forests and fynbos rolling down to the sea. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Tsitsikamma village.

     

    Enjoy a visit to Monkeyland & Birds of Eden.

     Monkeyland is the world’s first free roaming multi- specie primate sanctuary. Monkeyland is unique in that the sanctuary caters for several species of primate, and they are not caged; they are free to move about the forest and do so in harmony. Enjoy a guided walking safari in our indigenous forest by experienced game rangers. On these safaris you can expect to see many species of primates ranging from the Gibbons of Asia and Howlers from South America to the Lemurs of Madagascar. All our primates live in a natural environment. Birds of Eden (next to Monkeyland) is the World’s largest free-flight bird aviary (50 metres high, covering 23 000 square meters of forest). Birds of Eden houses more than 3,500 specimens of more than 280 species, with the focus being African birds. The dome spans over a gorge of indigenous forest, covers 2 km of boardwalks, several ponds and dams and a souvenir store.

  7. Day 7 OUDTSHOORN, CANGO CAVES, CANGO WILDLIFE RANCH, SAFARI OSTRICH SHOW FARM (DRIVING DISTANCE- 200KM).

    Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. This day, we explore the beautiful Ostrich capital of the world, Oudtshoorn. Nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number and nowhere else do they produce feathers of such fine quality – but the world’s biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts.

    Visit the Cango Caves.

    The Cango Caves are internationally renowned as one of the world’s great natural wonders. Sculpted by nature through the ages, their fascinating limestone formation occurs in a variety of ways. For the not so faint hearted there is the option of an adventure tour (at an additional charge) that takes guests deeper into the cave.

    Visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch

    The Cango Wildlife Ranch is a wildlife ranch 3 kilometres north of the town of Oudtshoorn in South Africa. Established in 1977, the Cango Wildlife Ranch is internationally recognized as one of South Africa’s premier attractions in the Western Cape, providing visitors with a world-class experience like no other.

    The tour takes your through different habitats where you can see animals such as the crocodile, exotic birds, tiger, cheetah, and white lion.

    Visit the Safari Ostrich Show Farm.

    Spend some time at this working ostrich farm for an unforgettable tour where you will come face to face with the biggest bird in the world. The tour starts in the breeding camp and ends with an “Ostrich Derby” as local jockeys display their ostrich riding skills. There is also the option of taking a tractor tour through an ostrich camp (at an additional charge). Enjoy lunch at the Safari Ostrich Farm. Back to Knysna for dinner.

  8. Day 8 HERMANUS VIA CAPE ROUTE 62. (APPROX. 358KM; 4HR 15MIN).

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and travel to Hermanus via the Route 62. Cape Route 62 is the tourist route in the Western Cape that meanders between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn. It is an area of magnificent landscapes and towering cliffs, crystal clear streams and an abundance of trees and indigenous flora. The ever-changing colours of the majestic mountains, scenic passes, rivers, vineyards, and orchards, as well as the multitude of attractions, will offer you an unforgettable adventure – whether this is in the physical sense or simply a kaleidoscope of scenic tranquillity.

    Visit the coastal town of Hermanus. Hermanus is a popular resort town that has gained universal recognition, as the world’s best land-based whale watching destination. Hermanus has been a sought-after holiday destination since the early 1800’s when it was discovered by an itinerant teacher and shepherd, Hermanus Pieterse. This, he decided, was an ideal place to set up camp, and news of its idyllic setting and legendary champagne-air soon spread: the region was set to become the “Riviera of the South”. A mere 140km from the Cape Metropole, Hermanus owes its success to its scenic beauty, mild climate, and range of cultural and outdoor attractions.     Visit Franschhoek. Franschhoek bills itself as South Africa’s Food and Wine Capital – and it is a claim that’s easily demonstrated. Settled more than three hundred years ago by the French Huguenots, the Franschhoek Valley produces some of the World’s truly great wines, with spectacular vineyards covering the mountain slopes. The food culture has drawn some of South Africa’ truly great chefs – to the extent that eight of

    Franschhoek’s restaurants feature in the country’s ‘Top 100’. Here you can expect anything from light meals to world-class cuisine, with the chefs utilizing the superb fresh produce from the surrounding valley (meals are not included and are for the clients own account).

    Visit the Wine Tasting Centre at Rickety Bridge Winery.

    The Wine Tasting Centre is adjacent to the wine cellar, offering a glimpse into the inner workings of a working winery. Estate tasting (choice of 5 wines).   10. Day 10 VISIT STELLENBOSCH, SPIER WINE ESTATE NEETHLINGSHOF ESTATE TRANSFER TO CAPE TOWN (DRIVING DISTANCE – APPROX. 90KM).

    Visit Stellenbosch. The heart of South Africa’s wine industry is a place of great beauty and culture that is steeped in South African tradition. The Stellenbosch wine route is arguably the country’s most famous, and the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin area includes 106 cellars. The heart of the town lies amidst the oak-lined Dorp Street. With its venerable old buildings, this is the University’s main thoroughfare, where modern student life sits comfortably side by side with our history and architectural heritage.

    Visit Spier Wine Estate. Situated in Stellenbosch, Spier  wine  farm  is  not  your  typical  winelands

    experience. Their wine making style challenges convention, yet still respects tradition. Enjoy a wine tasting experience (approximately 45 minutes). Chocolate and Wine Tasting: Inspired by our Spier Signature Méthode Cap Classique and our Spier Creative Block blends.

    Visit Neethlingshof Estate. The Neethlingshof Estate lies in the heart of Stellenbosch, with a history dating back to 1705.The famous kilometre-long stone pine avenue leads up to the homestead, which is the central motif of the estates wine labels. Enjoy a Cellar Tour and Wine Tasting.

  11. Day 11 PRIVATE CAPE TOWN CITY TOUR, TABLE MOUNTAIN, SHOPPING IN CAPE TOWN.

    You will be met at your hotel by your driver and tour guide for a Private Cape Town City Tour. Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting).
    Return to the city and pass through the Malay Quarter. Drive past the Castle of Good Hope, Houses of Parliament, and the Company Gardens. Travel to Sea Point and Camp’s Bay for scenic ocean vistas.

    Enjoy lunch at a local Indian restaurant

    Time permitting; enjoy some shopping in Cape Town. – Cape Town is a shopper’s dream with a wide range of shopping expeditions to undertake – from luxury boutiques and shopping malls to private shopping tours and markets, the Mother City has it all. Dinner at a local restaurant located in the V&A Waterfront.

  12. Day 12 PRIVATE FULL DAY CAPE PENINSULA TOUR, BOULDERS BEACH, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE NATURE RESERVE.

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    You will be collected at your hotel by your driver-guide for a Private Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Enjoy a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at Duiker Island (weather permitting). During summer, several thousand Cape Fur Seals – along with the rare Black Cormorant – lollop leisurely among the kelp beds. Travel along Chapman’s Peak Drive (conditions permitting). Indian friendly lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The sceneryen route to Cape Point, at the South Western tip of the reserve, is particularly lovely in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape.

    The new lighthouse – the most powerful in the world – beams an electric light of 19 million candle power across the ocean. Ascend to the top of by Funicular.
    Visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (time permitting / optional cost). The Treetop Canopy Walkway gives visitors the opportunity to experience the forest from high above the ground. The galvanised steel structure meanders through trees and branches, with sections that crown above the forest. Return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner at a local Indian restaurant.
