Sham Trek is one of the easy to moderate treks in the lower valleys of Ladakh. The trail runs through some high mountain hamlets in the Indus valley. Traditionally, the trek starts from Likir village and ends at Khalse village situated on the Leh-Srinagar highway. However, we will start our trek from the beautiful village of Themisgam and end in Likir. As we pass through the beautiful villages of Themisgam, Ang, Hemis Schukpachen, and Yanthang, we get a chance to interact with locals as we stay in homestays or camp in their backyard. Recently, a link road has been built to connect the villages in-between. The trek is meant for all age groups with average fitness.
