We take you deep into the remote Yamal Peninsula in Siberia, a place the indigenous Nenets call the “edge of the world.” Here, you’ll live among the Nenets and Khanty, whose vibrant and resilient culture has thrived for 2,000 years despite the harsh Arctic environment, once deemed so unforgiving that Stalin built prison camps here.

Home to around 20,000 nomadic reindeer herders, Yamal hosts some of the world’s longest nomadic migration routes. You’ll immerse yourself in their enduring traditions, far from any city, and join the largest gathering of reindeer herders in the Arctic, experiencing their unique way of life firsthand. With luck, you may also witness the Northern Lights.
