The Sunderbans forest lies in the delta formed by the confluence of Brahmaputra, Padma and Meghna rivers across southern Bangladesh and southern West Bengal. A UNESCO world heritage site, it is home to the largest population of tigers in the world. It is also the largest single block of tidal mangrove forest in the world. The Sunderbans is intersected by a complex network of tidal waterways, mudflats and small islands of salt-tolerant mangrove forests. The dominant mangrove species Heritiera fomes is locally known as Sundari. The Sunderbans provides a unique ecosystem and a rich wildlife habitat.  Tigers, Fishing Cats, Macaques, Wild Boars, Common Grey Mongooses, Foxes, Jungle Cats, Pangolins and Chital are found in abundance in the Sunderbans.

  1. Day 1 Arrival in Kolkata

    Arrival in Kolkata. Check-in the hotel. Evening free. Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.

  2. Day 2 Kolkata Sightseeing

    After breakfast we start our Kolkata sightseeing tour. Visit Victoria Memorial, Kalighat Temple, Belur Math, Millennium park etc. En-route you can see Eden garden and enjoy drive on Howrah bridge. Overnight stay at Hotel in Kolkata.

  3. Day 3 Kolkata – Gadkhali Jetty (120 km; 3 hrs); Boat ride to Sunderbans (2 hrs)

    Pick up from Kolkata and proceed to Gadkhali Jetty. Transfer to mechanized boat to proceed towards Sajnekhali Interpretation Center and adjoining creeks such as Sarakkhali I & II, Banobibibharani. Lunch will be served on board. Further we will visit to Sudanyakhali Watch Tower. We will reach Bali island via many creeks. Check – in to Tora Eco Resort at Bali island. Our tour leader will brief our all about the destination and the tour in detail with the refreshing Tea/Coffee/welcome drink with snacks. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

  4. Day 4 Sunderbans

    After breakfast, visit to Dobanki watch tower which has a canopy walk. Also, cruise through the adjoining creeks such as Khanakhali, Deulbharani, Naubanki, Pirkhali through thick forests. Lunch will be served on board. Next visit to Netidhopani Watch Tower. Dinner and overnight stay at Bali Island.

  5. Day 5 Sunderbans – Kolkata

    Early morning will be spent on village experience of Sunderbans. Morning nature walk and bird watching in the village. Back to resort for breakfast. Day is free at leisure. Lunch at around 12 noon and we check out from the Resort. On the way to Kolkata, we will visit Sir Hamilton’s Bungalow, Gosaba. Arrive at Gadkhali and transfer to airport / Railway Stn. For Final Departure.
