08-18 November 2024

Arunachal, as the name suggests, is the land of the rising sun. The eastern frontier of Bharat is experiencing fast-paced development in infrastructure, allowing people from all over to come and witness its incredible bounty of natural and cultural landscapes. Spread across the north, east, and south of Assam, this giant state is home to 26 main tribes and over 200 sub-tribes. The heterogeneity of languages and dialects is so vast that locals from adjacent valleys often resort to Hindi as a mode of communication.

Our trip will take us to explore the spectacular river basins of the Mathu and Dree rivers while based in Anini. We’ll experience the cultural richness at Aalo and the endless troves of alpine grasslands and hillocks at Mechuka. The trip will also include a visit to an archaeological site at Likabali.
